LET'S NOT MAKE RESOLUTIONS--LET'S MAKE GOALS!!

         It's that time of year again!  We want to do better--to be better. So what do we do? We make a list of "New Years resolutions" so we can use them later to beat ourselves over the head with. Forget about it!  Don't do it.

         Do what I do and it works so well it's almost scarey.  Every New Years Eve during the day-- I calmly make a list of goals-- almost "wishes" for the new year.  I think about my behavior first. How would I like to improve myself?  Hmm.

1. Try to be more patient.

2. Talk less listen more

3. Improve my relationship with ... (names of people here)

      And more.  Then I think of financial areas. Hmm.

      And personal....  and so on. . By the time I'm finished I have about 30 "goals."   AND THEN I HIDE THE LIST --I WILL NOT LOOK AT IT UNTIL A YEAR LATER--TO SEE HOW I'VE DONE.

            Amazingly most of them "happen."  It's almost as if by writing them down, I'm "telling" my unconscious mind to make it happen. It's almost like a prayer. Okay. Well in fact it is a prayer because I'm praying as I'm writing, asking God to have his will in my life!!

             ONE YEAR LATER ON NEW YEARS EVE DAY I TAKE OUT THE LIST I MADE THE YEAR BEFORE. I cross out and put a check next to each goal I've achieved. I re-read the ones I did not achieve.  I ask myself if  that is still a worthy goal. If it is, it goes into my next years list.  If not I discard it and move on.

            Okay make up your goals. Have a wonderful year. And with God's help be a happier, better, more fulfilled person. 


2010 PROGRESS REPORTS

       I just want to say that I enjoy your Cougar DVD and your fun upbeat sense of humor!
I bought your Bottoms Up book years ago and used it for many years...then stopped due to "stuff"
   You told me about the Cougar of yours and I bought it and started a couple of months ago. I'm really building strength again.  There are signs there is less lose flesh hanging from my arms. Patrice*********

********************I had to drop you a line regarding my recent Dexa scan results.  I have been using the bone building exercises for 2 years now.  My Dexa scan shows lumbar spine increased 3-4% in bone mineral density compared to prior. Left Hip bone increased 1-2 % in bone mineral density compared to prior.  Right Hip bone increased in bone mineral density 3-4%.  Thank you for writing your book.  Those exercises are easy to implement daily.  Even when I am having a busy week I still manage to get my exercises done in 8 days.  I know my bone density increased because I was able to be consistent.  Lisa***********************

At 59, I am new to you, Joyce, and weightlifting in general, but I can tell I am already a Joyce Vedral devotee!  I love your tough no-nonsense NY demeanor and your down-to-earth but suck-it-up approach.  Plus you're just so loveable on the DVD's!  [After reading your books, I just KNEW your voice even before I heard it!  You'd been playing in my head from all that reading.]

2010 BOOTCAMP WORKOUT PLAN

            If you still have not printed this out do it now--my  2010 Joyce's Bootcamp" workout using all 19 of my DVDS. It's updated and efficient and will cause your body to get into amazing shape in 6 weeks. If you can't afford to get all 19 get as many as you can and keep repeating those weeks but for maximum progress it pays to mix it up to the max

THE PLAN:

WEEK ONE

DAY 1. Day 2. COUGAR WORKOUT UPPER BODY. DAY 2: COUGAR WORKOUT LOWER AND MIDDLE BODY. DAY 3: WALK WITH JOYCE. DAY 4. BOTTOMS UP GOLD PLUS UPPER BODY. Day 5.. BOTTOMS UP GOLD PLUS LOWER AND MIDDLE

Note: Each workout day before you do anything else you do the JUST ABS day for that day. There are six days so it works out perfectly. Then you can either do the ABS included if it is for that day in addition to the ABS or just leave them out. Your choice. THIS APPLIES TO ALL SIX WORKOUT WEEKS.
